The most important seaside-resorts in this province are (from east to west) Nerja, Torrox Costa, Torre del Mar, Rincón de la Victoria east of the city of Málaga and Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella west of it.
Torremolinos, Fuengirola and "jet-set" Marbella make the province of Málaga the tourist-centre of the Costa del Sol, which stretches from the province of Almería to the provinces of Granada, Málaga and Cadíz.

The seaside resorts are in fact extended centres of hotels, apartments and luxury to very luxury villas.
Puerto Banus, the marina of Marbella, can easily be compared with the famous marinas on the
Côte d´Azur in France. The huge number of golf-courses, the mild climate, the cultural and relaxing
sites, make this part of Spain ideal for hibernation
More into the country one finds untouched and rough nature in the National Parks like the
Montes de Málaga, the Sierra de Gralema or the Sierra Ronda. Here still live a lot of wild animals.
Places like Mijas, Ronda, the pittoresque "white villages", are attractions for very popular day-trips.
Like most of the important cities in Spain, the city of Málaga is very proud of its rich history and the
remains show the influences of the Phoenicians, the people of Carthago, the Romans, the Mores
and the Christians. Read more…….
